Does a normal 38 weeks pregnancy start from conception or implantation?

Posted by kmjamal | Women's Health | Thursday 29 April 2010 12:06 am

Sperm can apparently live up to 7 days inside a woman. Does a 38 week pregnancy occur anytime from these 7 days

or does a 38 week pregnancy start from implantation which happens something like 12 days after conception?

Teeth are examples of solid matter. When you eat hot food or
drink cold water, your teeth will expand or contract depending
on the temperature inside of your mouth. What would a dentist
need to consider when filling a cavity?

What's the difference between an allergy and a reaction to something?

Posted by kmjamal | Diseases & Conditions | Saturday 17 April 2010 12:00 am

Last night I had to take my little boy to the emergency room. The nurse asked if he had any allergies. I told her panadol makes him throw up. She said that’s not an allergy, just a reaction.

Isn’t an allergy just the bodies way of reacting to something that doesn’t agree with it?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

What is diabetes and why do you need to avoid so many things and food?

Posted by kmjamal | Diseases & Conditions | Friday 16 April 2010 1:00 am

I have heard that people with diabetes should not take cold, flu or pain medications. Why is this? Also, I have heard that they should avoid exposure to high heat and humidity? Why is this? I also would love to know what it is exactly, and why you need to watch what you eat and use a meter?

How soon after taking antibiotics is it okay to not use condoms when on the pill?

Posted by kmjamal | Diseases & Conditions | Friday 16 April 2010 12:11 am

I’ve been on the pill for almost half a year and recently I came down with strep throat and was prescribed antibiotics. I have heard that antibiotics can decrease the effectiveness of birth control, so I have been using condoms for the past couple weeks as a backup method. I am currently done with my antibiotics and was wondering when a good time would be to consider it okay to have sex without a condom?
