Is medicine affected if a little water gets mixed into the bottle?

My son is taking antibiotics for an ear infection. I use a syringe to give him the medicine. A little water stays in it when i was it, and has gotten into the medicine bottle. Will this alter the affectiveness of the medicine?

It can. It can water down the medication so that when you give the prescribed dose, some of that is water and he’s not getting the right dose.

Just take the syringe apart after you use it and dry it before using it again.
