What does it mean that a vagina is raw from a yeast infection?

I went to the doctor to get treated for a yeast infection. He said the area looks raw then prescribed me Diflucan. I didn’t think about it until after I left the office, but what exactly does it mean to have a raw vagina due to a yeast infection?

The yeast makes your skin dry. It often gets red and cracks. You could also be scratching too much. Either way, don’t listen to these people making jokes. Most women experience a yeast infection sometime in their lives. The word raw means the skin is cracking. Diflucan gets rid of the yeast infection, but you could also go to walmart and get some vagisil for relief of symptoms immediately. It helps with itching. Try not to scratch too much. Hope you get well soon.
